For the dipping sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoon tamari
- 2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 2 spring onions, sliced
For the lettuce cups
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 giant onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2-inch piece ginger, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 pound lean floor beef
- 1 tablespoon tamari
- 2 teaspoons fish sauce
- 1 cup shredded carrot (roughly 2 carrots)
- 1/2 cup recent cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 head boston lettuce, leaves washed, dried and separated
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix all of the substances for the dipping sauce and put aside.
- Heat the avocado oil in a big saute pan over medium warmth and add the onion, garlic, ginger and chili flakes. Saute 2 minutes till aromatic.
- Add the meat and, utilizing a picket spoon, start breaking it into small items. Add the tamari and fish sauce and saute till the meat is cooked, about 7 minutes.
- Add the shredded carrot, cilantro, sesame seeds, toss and take away from the warmth.
